The naturally skinny guy is known as an ectomorph body type. Try to get a weight for each exercise where you can only do 8-10 reps before failure, at this weight you will force yourself to really power those last reps and spark the muscle growth you need.
Another piece of the skinny bodybuilding puzzle is that all this food and exercise does nothing unless you give the body time to actually heal. Slim guy or not you need to have downtime and good sleep so your body can get down the muscle growth processes. If you end up hitting the gym every day or even every second day you may be stressing muscles that have not had time to fully regenerate and get bigger.
Rest and Recovery is essential for muscle growth!
How to build muscles for slim guys is not overcompensating for your skinny genetics but just making sure you follow the rules and putting in 100% every time on all that you do; Even rest. Get a solid 8 hours sleep every night and you will be amazed how doing LESS gym work will give you MORE gains!
